Hi everyone, welcome to Clueless Crafts! I do a lot of crafts on this channel, sometimes without knowing exactly how to do them, but trying is half the fun. I also make easy clay animal tutorial videos, squishy makeovers, and various other crafts with clay, paint, popsicles, and whatever else I can get my hands on.

Easy Clay Walrus │Polymer Clay Tutorial
Hi everyone! Today I’ll be showing you how to make a mini clay walrus for beginners. For someone wanting to start small, this is perfect. Keep watching for step by step instructions on how to make your own mini clay animal. Want to see an animal I haven't made yet? Leave me your suggestions on what clay animal you want to see next!
The type of clay used in this video is Sculpey, Craft, and Fimo. I use what’s available as most brands are similar to each other. Always follow your clay’s baking instructions on the package when making clay creations, though I tend to bake a little longer than suggested as your clay will not burn as long as it stay below a certain temperature. I baked mine at 275 degrees F in a preheated oven for 1 hour. Take it out and leave to cool before handling the clay as it is still soft and handling it may leave dents.
Tip: When shaping the clay, if you find that you are leaving a lot of fingerprints, you can use a q-tip and acetone to wipe the surface of the clay clean.
Tip: If your clay is becoming too soft to sculpt the details, place the clay in the freezer for 10 minutes to harden the surface before continuing.

This is awesome! I want to make some dragons & other mythical creatures for D&D campaigns. Think I'll use more wire & aluminum foil, + keep it done in white clay so that they can be painted... but, maybe coloured clay could save me time. Thanks for the creative inspiration

Oh my wings broke off when baking the dragon. They broke right where I attached them to the back of the dragon. I don't know what I could have done differently
I'm sorry to hear that. One thing I would suggest is to use super glue as well as liquid sculpey. The super glue will hold the wings in place (and won't melt in the oven) while the liquid sculpey sets as it bakes. Propping the wings in place with balled up tin foil is another option. If both pieces are already baked, you can just super glue the wings to the body and call it done. Hope that helps!
